Basic Surface Treatment Requirements for Aluminum Profiles
Aluminum profile manufacturers to meet the basic environmental protection surface treatment requirements prior to painting, currently the market mainly includes the following treatment methods:
1. Physical Treatment: Sandblasting, shot blasting, and grit blasting.
Surface treatment with shot blasting machines, aluminum surface treatment, offers strong impact and significant cleaning effects. However, shot blasting on thin plate workpieces can easily cause deformation, and steel shots striking the workpiece surface (whether in a sandblasting or shot blasting machine) can induce metal base material deformation. Since Fe3O4 and Fe2O3 lack plasticity, they fracture and peel off, while the oil film deforms along with the base material, making it impossible for shot or sand blasting to effectively remove oil污 from contaminated workpieces. Among the existing surface treatment methods for aluminum profiles, sandblasting is particularly effective in achieving excellent cleaning results. Sandblasting is suitable for high-precision surface cleaning requirements. Currently, in China, common sandblasting equipment is divided into two main types: dry and wet. Users can choose based on the specific workpiece requirements for surface treatment. The size and operating principle of the sandblasting equipment can also be customized according to the actual conditions of the workpieces.

Methods of metal oxidation treatment
The oxidation treatment of metals involves the formation of a protective oxide film on the metal surface through interaction with oxygen or an oxidizing agent, preventing corrosion. Oxidation methods include thermal oxidation, alkaline oxidation, acidic oxidation (for ferrous metals), as well as chemical oxidation, anodic oxidation (for non-ferrous metals), and more.
Chemical Oxidation Method: The chemical oxidation process is primarily suitable for the oxidation treatment of non-ferrous metals (such as aluminum, copper, magnesium, and their alloys). The process involves immersing the parts in a prepared solution, followed by surface treatment with stainless steel. After a certain period of oxidation reaction at a specific temperature, a protective layer forms. The parts are then cleaned and dried.

Surface Treatment Methods
Pre-treatment before painting: To remove various foreign substances attached to the surface of objects (such as oil stains, rust, dust, old paint film, etc.) and provide a suitable base for painting requirements, ensuring that the coating has good corrosion resistance, decorative properties, and certain special functions, it is necessary to pre-treat the surface of the object before painting. The work done in this treatment is collectively referred to as pre-painting (surface) treatment or (surface) pre-treatment.
Manual Treatment: Such as scraping with a blade, steel wire brush, or grinding wheel, etc. Manual treatment can remove rust and oxide scale from the surface of the workpiece, but it is labor-intensive, low in production efficiency, poor in quality, and insufficient for cleaning.
