Common hard anodizing processes and methods
After anodizing aluminum and aluminum alloy hard anodizing, the obtained anodic oxide layer has the following characteristics:
1. Heat Resistance: The melting point of the hard anodized film can reach up to 2050°C, making it a heat-resistant material.
2. Insulation: The resistivity of the hard anodized film is extremely high, and its breakdown voltage exceeds 200V.
3. Corrosion Resistance: High resistance to corrosion in the atmosphere; can withstand corrosion for thousands of hours in a salt mist environment with a concentration of over 3% NaCl.
4. Bonding Strength: The anodized layer has a strong bonding with the substrate.

Anodizing
Non-ferrous metals or their alloys (such as aluminum, magnesium, and their alloys) can undergo anodizing treatment. This method is widely used in mechanical parts, aircraft and automotive components, precision instruments, radio materials, daily necessities, and decorative building materials.
Generally, anodes are made of aluminum or aluminum alloys, while cathodes are chosen as lead plates. The aluminum and lead plates are placed in a water solution, undergo anodic oxidation treatment, which includes sulfuric acid, oxalic acid, chromic acid, etc., to carry out electrolysis, forming an oxide film on the surface of the aluminum and lead plates. Among these acids, sulfuric acid is most commonly used for anodic oxidation.

What is anodizing treatment
Anodizing, a process for treating metal surfaces.
It refers to a material protection technique in which, in an electrolyte solution, the anodic oxidation process is induced by applying an external anodic current, resulting in the formation of an oxide layer on the surface. Also known as surface anodic oxidation.
Aluminum materials and products, regardless of the processing method used, will have varying degrees of dirt and defects on their surfaces, such as dust, metal oxides (including natural or aluminum oxide films formed at high temperatures), residual oil stains, asphalt markings, manual handling fingerprints (primarily composed of fatty acids and nitrogen-containing compounds), welding flux, corrosive salts, metal burrs, and minor scratches. Therefore, it is necessary to clean the surface of the products chemically and physically before oxidation treatment to reveal the pure metal substrate. This facilitates smooth oxidation coloring and results in an artificial film that is firmly bonded to the substrate, meeting requirements for color, thickness, and possesses excellent properties such as corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and weather resistance.
