Heavy metal scavenger is a chemical agent that strongly chelates with heavy metal ions. It can react with various heavy metal ions such as Cu2+, Cd2+, Hg2+, Pb2+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Zn2+, and Cr3+ in wastewater under normal temperature and a wide range of pH conditions, rapidly forming an insoluble, low moisture content, easily filterable floc precipitate in a short time. The chemicals used to remove heavy metal ions from wastewater are referred to as heavy metal scavengers.
Physical Properties of Heavy Metal Traps
1. Precipitate metals over a wide pH range.
2. Achieve factory wastewater recycling.
3. Suitable for conventional processing techniques or as a polishing agent for wastewater treatment.
4. Effective for various metals such as cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, mercury, nickel, silver, and zinc.
Heavy Metal Capture Agent's Function
Heavy metal scavengers are liquid metal precipitants. They effectively precipitate metal ions, reducing the concentration of metals in wastewater. This product is commonly used as a polishing step following traditional metal precipitation processes (such as hydroxide precipitation). Compared to traditional techniques for precipitating high concentrations of metal ions, it is considered one of the alternative methods.
Excellent heavy metal scavenger, due to its strong chelating property, the reaction can not only be carried out at room temperature and over a wide pH range, but also is unaffected by the concentration of heavy metal ions. Even in wastewater containing complex components, it can precipitate various heavy metal ions in a single step, allowing the wastewater to meet discharge standards.
Heavy Metal Capture Agent Applications
1. Electroplating factory wastewater treatment for heavy metal removal
2. Electronic circuit board factory wastewater treatment for heavy metal removal
3. Mine tailings wastewater treatment for heavy metal removal
4. Metallurgical wastewater treatment and heavy metal removal
5. Heavy metal removal in wastewater treatment for the chemical and leather industry.
Heavy Metal Capture Agent Usage and Requirements
Heavy metal scavengers can be added to the conventional treatment process. They are easy to mix and dilute with water. Therefore, they can be diluted with water to any required ratio to meet the requirements of the medication pump. High-quality, neutral pH water should be used for dilution. This product is suitable for use in high-turbulent areas, such as the suction mouth of a pump.
In fact, when adding heavy metal trapping agents to the solution, the treated water should be stirred to ensure the metal precipitates react fully before settling.
Storage containers can be made of polypropylene, stainless steel (304 or 316), or high-density cross-linked polyethylene (HDCLPE). Recommended materials for pipes and installation include rigid PVC, stainless steel, HDCLPE, polypropylene, Viton, nitrile rubber, and polyethylene. Avoid using carbon steel, brass, zinc, and other metal materials for pipes and storage containers.
Product Advantages
1. Simple method; no need for new equipment, just add the trapping agent to remove heavy metals.
2. The catcher can strongly chelate heavy metal ions, forming a good floc.
3. Excellent flocculation effect, with minimal sludge volume and easy dewatering.
