Eulian No. 5 (3735): Hybrid bred from Eulian No. 1 and Eulian No. 2, mid-early ripening. Plant height 160~180 cm, leaf diameter 75~80 cm, nearly round leaves, white flowers, low fruiting rate. Main rhizome 5~6 joints, length 120 cm, cross-section oval, diameter 7~9 cm, thick, solid flesh, small aerenchyma, white skin. Planting depth in mud 30 cm, planting in the first week of April in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, harvest 500~800 kg of green lotus rhizomes per mu in the middle and late July, and mature rhizomes in late August. Strong growth, no early aging, high resistance, stable yield, robust rhizome shape, large flesh pore ratio, good commercial quality, white and easy to powder when stir-fried or souped, very popular in southern markets and export markets.
