Corrugated boxes are widely used packaging products, available in various specifications and models, including those made from corrugated paper and single-layer cardboard.

Cardboard boxes commonly used include three-layer, five-layer, with seven-layer being less frequent. The layers are divided into inner paper, corrugated paper, core paper, and surface paper. The inner and surface papers can be kraft paper or kraft paper, the core paper is made of corrugated paper, and the colors and textures of various papers differ, as do those produced by different manufacturers (colors and textures).

Corrugated cardboard is made by bonding together face paper, back paper, fluting paper, and corrugated paper that has been processed into a wave pattern. Depending on the requirements of product packaging, corrugated cardboard can be processed into single-faced, three-ply, five-ply, seven-ply, eleven-ply, and other types of corrugated cardboard.

Corrugated cardboard made from different wave shapes exhibits varying functionalities. Even with the same quality of facing and backing papers, the performance of the corrugated board differs due to the variation in wave shapes. Internationally, four standard wave shapes are commonly used, known as A-waves, C-waves, B-waves, and E-waves. Their technical specifications and requirements are listed in Table 1. A-waves produce corrugated board with good cushioning properties and a certain degree of elasticity; C-waves have slightly less than A-waves. However, they have better rigidity and shock resistance. B-waves have a high packing density, resulting in a smooth surface on the corrugated board, high bearing pressure, and are suitable for printing. E-waves, being thin and dense, showcase their strength and rigidity more prominently.

Board Material Classification: Board materials are categorized by their weight per unit area, and mainly include the following types of board materials:

K paper: 250g/m²

A Paper: 175g/m²

B Paper: 125g/m²

7 Sheets: 200g/m²

8 Sheets: 260g/m²

C Paper: 127 g/m²

Core Paper: Typically 100g/m²

Large Machine 105-110 g/m²

Enhanced Core Paper: +115g/m²
