The submersible sludge pump's outlet is connected to the coupling interface. Two parallel rods are fixed on the coupling base, and the coupling interface can freely slide along the rods from the top of the sump to the coupling base under the traction of the lifting chain. When the pump is lowered to the bottom, its coupling interface is tightly sealed with the coupling base, and the two mating surfaces must be free of rubber rings or washers, relying solely on the pump's own weight to achieve a complete seal. The entire weight of the pump is supported by the coupling base, with neither the pump body nor the base coming into contact with the sump.

Submersible pumps typically utilize automatic coupling (hereinafter referred to as auto-coupling) installation methods. The auto-coupling system mainly consists of quick connections, drainage bases, guides, and guide brackets. During installation, the pump housing and quick connection are tightly fastened together with bolts. The drainage base is first secured to the pool with anchor bolts, then the quick connection moves the pump along the guides and automatically couples with the drainage base via the auto-coupling sealing surfaces. Once installed, the entire pump housing and motor section are connected together by the pump housing outlet flange and the quick connection inlet flange. The submersible pump's outlet and the auto-coupling base connection are sealed with a rubber seal ring. The pump hangs in the air via the auto-coupling system, and its own weight presses the seal ring tightly, ensuring reliable sealing between pipes.

All automatic coupling devices share the same structure as the original, delivering the pump accurately to the installation location through the guide rail. The pump's outlet is then connected and securely fastened to the drain base's auto-coupling interface by the weight of the pump itself.
