20CrNi2Mo steel is a low-carbon alloy steel, and due to its low content of alloying elements, the synergistic effect of various elements is good. In major industries, it is generally listed as a recommended standard grade. 20CrNi2Mo steel can be used as surface-hardened carburizing steel for components like carburizing gears and bearings; it can also be applied after tempering at high or low temperatures to parts that require wear and impact resistance, such as excavator bucket teeth (shovels) and agricultural machinery wear parts.
美国的SAE4320、台湾地区和日本的SNCM420、原苏联的20ХН2М等钢在化学成分和一些主要性能指标上与我国的20CrNi2Mo钢均是相同或相近的。
Chemical Composition
Manganese (Mn): 0.40~0.70
Phosphorus P: ≤0.030
Sulfur S: ≤0.030
Chromium (Cr): 0.35~0.65
Nickel (Ni): 1.60~2.00
Molybdenum (Mo): 0.20~0.30
Copper (Cu): ≤0.30
The 20CrNi2Mo steel exhibits significantly less deformation tendency than 20Cr2Ni4 steel. It has a rational carbon concentration gradient distribution, good hardening properties, and ideal residual Austenite content and distribution on the surface. Its heat treatment process performance is superior to that of 20Cr2Ni4 steel. It can be used as a substitute for 20cr2Ni4.
