16MnCr5 is a steel grade introduced from Germany, equivalent to China's 16CrMnH steel (refer to GB/T 5216-2004). It boasts good hardenability and machinability, allowing for high surface hardness and wear resistance in larger cross-section parts after heat treatment, as well as high low-temperature impact toughness. 16MnCr5 gear steel, after carburizing and quenching, is primarily used for manufacturing gears, worm gears, sealing shaft sleeves, and other components.
