5CrW2Si alloy tool steel is impact-resistant tool steel with similar composition and properties to 4CrW2Si. It is made by adding 2.00% to 2.50% (by mass) of tungsten to chromium-silicon steel. The addition of tungsten helps maintain a finer grain structure during quenching, which allows for higher toughness in the tempering state and improved temper stability. The steel also exhibits certain hardenability and high-temperature mechanical properties.
