Release Agent, also known as mold release powder, is suitable for sand casting demolding of aluminum, copper, iron, steel, etc., and can make the casting surface bright and white. It is typically composed of finely ground powder material, offering good lubricity and thermal insulation properties, which can reduce friction between the casting and the mold, preventing the casting from sticking to the mold or getting damaged.
During the casting process, evenly apply the release agent to the interior of the mold or coat the mold surface, forming a layer of isolation film. Once the casting solidifies, the release agent facilitates easier removal of the casting from the mold, reducing wear and damage to the mold.
Release agents are commonly used in sand casting, and can be sprinkled directly between the mold and sand. They can also be mixed with paste or liquid release agents to reduce the amount of liquid release agent used, thereby lowering production costs.
