Molding Sand Release Agent, also known as release agent, is suitable for sand mold casting in aluminum, copper, iron, steel, etc., ensuring the castings have a bright and white surface. It is typically composed of finely ground powder material with excellent lubricity and heat insulation properties, reducing friction between the casting and the mold, and preventing sticking or damage to the casting.
During the casting process, uniformly applying release agent powder to the interior of the mold or coating it on the surface forms a layer of isolation membrane. Once the casting solidifies, the release agent powder makes it easier to remove the casting from the mold, reducing wear and damage to the mold.
Release agent is commonly used in sand casting, and can be sprinkled directly between the mold and sand. It can also be mixed with paste or liquid release agents to reduce the amount of liquid release agent needed, thereby lowering production costs.
