Shenyang cable wells are underground inspection wells used during the construction and after the completion of the cable burial project for installation or maintenance purposes. The spacing between cable wells should be set at 40 meters. They are generally divided into manhole wells and handhole wells. Manhole wells are larger, allowing people to enter for construction operations, while handhole wells are generally smaller, only accommodating hand access for operations, and are commonly used for branch lines.

And there aren't many cables passing through the well, mainly serving as an outdoor transition, facilitating cable installation during concealed wiring. Traditional cable wells are typically made of bricks or cast concrete, making installation cumbersome. Often, one has to wait for the bricks or concrete to stabilize before use, resulting in a long installation period. Moreover, their drainage performance is poor, and accumulated water can damage the cables.
