Benefits of Parallel Generator Sets
1. Enhance the reliability and continuity of the power supply system: As multiple units are integrated into a power grid, the voltage and frequency of the power supply become more stable, capable of withstanding shocks from greater load changes.
2. Enhanced maintenance and service convenience: Parallel operation of multiple machines allows for centralized scheduling and distribution of active and reactive loads, facilitating timely maintenance and repairs.
3. Enhanced Economic Efficiency: By matching the number of units to the online load size, small power generating sets can be deployed to minimize fuel and oil waste associated with large power sets under low loads.
4. Future expansion with greater flexibility: Install only the power generation and parallel equipment needed now, and add more generator sets later when the company requires expansion of the grid capacity. This allows for convenient connection of the expanded sets, making the initial investment more economical.

Generator set paralleling scheme classification: paralleling method
1. Manual and Parallel Operation: Indicated by lights or a synchronizing indicator, this method is commonly used for older diesel generator sets with mechanical speed regulation.
2. Semi-automatic Parallel Operation: Automatic parallel connection, manual disconnection, generally used for main or backup power supply in factories.
3. Automatic Parallel Operation: In the event of a power outage, automatically start 2 or more generator sets, supply power to the load after parallel operation, automatically disconnect and shut down the sets upon power restoration, commonly used as backup power for buildings.
4. Peak Load Synchronization (Fully Automatic Synchronization): Based on the automatic synchronization, the synchronization cabinet automatically engages and synchronizes multiple units according to the load variations, as well as automatically disconnects and stops the units with logical functions.
5. Three Remote Control and Parallel System: A parallel system utilizing a dedicated single-chip microcomputer system to facilitate communication and connection between the parallel cabinet and the generator set with a PC.
The process of paralleling and derating during the normal operation of a power generation set:
1. Set all selections on the operation screen to "Automatic," putting the generator set into an automatic standby state.
2. Upon confirmation of the power grid failure and the delay, the 1# generator set (main set) begins to start up.
3. The generator set will close the switch 10 seconds (preset value, can be set arbitrarily) after normal operation, with the power directly entering the busbar.
4. Once the 1# generator set reaches 70% of its rated power (adjustable), the 1# control cabinet sends an automatic start signal to the 2# generator set, which then begins to start up. The synchronization module will automatically detect the synchronization status of both the 1# and 2# generator sets. When they are synchronized, the circuit breaker of the 2# generator set closes, and the unit is fully connected to the grid.
5. As the grid load gradually decreases, the units can be disconnected from the grid according to the actual load conditions, thereby shutting down and cooling down the excess generating units. If the load suddenly increases after some units are disconnected, the control system will detect the increase in load. When the load increase reaches 70% (adjustable) of the operating units' load, the system will automatically start the next unit, connect it to the grid, and put it into operation.
6. Upon the restoration of the municipal power grid, after a delay confirmation, the generator load air circuit breaker is disengaged to allow the generator set to continue running unloaded for a period (set to 3 minutes) to cool down. After 3 minutes, shut down the generator set and all units will return to standby mode.
7. During automatic paralleling of the unit, the automatic time synchronization does not exceed 3 seconds.
