Continuous Ball Mill Overview

Continuous ball mills are silicate products, important equipment for dry or wet grinding in the production of construction materials, refractory materials, non-ferrous metals, quartz sand, and glass ceramics.

Operating Principle

This unit is a horizontal cylindrical rotary device, driven by external gears, sprockets, or belts, featuring a two-compartment ball mill with a grid design. Materials are evenly introduced into the ball mill chamber through a feeding machine and a hollow shaft spiral. Inside, there are three different sizes of grinding balls. As the cylinder rotates, centrifugal force carries the balls to a certain height before dropping, exerting a heavy impact and grinding action on the material. After achieving coarse grinding within the chamber, the material passes through a single-layer separator plate into a compartment containing four different sizes of grinding balls for further refinement. The powdered material is discharged through an outlet sieve plate and then processed by a vibratory sifter for classification, completing the powder grinding operation.

Structural Features

This unit is composed of main parts such as the feeding machine, discharge section, rotation section, transmission section, and grading section. The hollow shaft is made of cast steel, and the lining can be customized according to customer requirements. The equipment operates smoothly and is reliable in operation.
