Horizontal screw blade mixers are widely used in industries such as chemicals, food, and building materials, suitable for processes like mixing powders with powders, adding a small amount of liquid to powders for mixing, and blending powders with granules.

Working Principle

The horizontal helical blade mixer is primarily composed of a mixing chamber, agitator, and drive unit. The agitator shaft, installed in a U-shaped tube-like chamber, features double helical blades that spiral in opposite directions. The outer spiral blades, driven by power, push the material from the center to both ends in a convectional mixing pattern due to their winding style and rotation direction. The horizontal cylinder of the mixer has a discharge port centrally located at the bottom, with the helical structure of the outer spiral blades, in sync with the rotation of the main shaft, forcing the material inside the cylinder wall to the central discharge port, ensuring there are no dead corners in the cylinder for material discharge.
