Working Principle

Vertical ball mills, also known as agitated ball mills, are easy to operate and highly efficient in grinding. The material to be ground is placed together with the grinding media in a stationary grinding drum equipped with a jacket. The diameter of the grinding media ranges from 3-10mm. Common types of grinding media include carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome steel, hard alloy, ceramic, or zirconia.

Materials can be added directly to the jacketed grinding drum without pre-mixing, and other components in the formula that require only slight grinding can be added to the drum later.

Batch grinding machines are equipped with a recirculation pump system to maintain circulation during grinding, enhancing efficiency and material uniformity, resulting in an excellent particle dispersion system. The recirculation pump is also used for discharging material.

Special Options

Vessel Lining - A special lining can be used when grinding without metal ion contamination. Choices include ceramic (alumina), tiles, food-grade rubber, or polyurethane for the lining.

Stirrer Sleeve – For grinding without metallic ion contamination, the stirrer should be equipped with a sleeve made of plastic, tungsten carbide, or zirconia.

Cylinder Head - Available with a floating shaft seal, suitable for grinding under inert gas conditions.

Drive System - Variable speed drive, suitable for various rotational speed requirements.
