Standard parking space dimension marking length and width
Parking spaces are categorized into four sizes. For vehicles not exceeding 6 meters in length and 1.8 meters in width, the standard spacing between vehicles is at least 0.5 meters, as well as between vehicles and walls or the ends of parking spaces. For vehicles between 6 and 8 meters in length and between 1.8 and 2.2 meters in width, the spacing between vehicles should be at least 0.7 meters. The corresponding regulations for turnaround lanes are designed to accommodate a single vehicle's full rotation.

A parking lot primarily for small vehicles, with parking spaces measuring 2.5 to 2.7 meters by 5 to 6 meters. The single-lane turnaround lane width is no less than 3.5 meters, and the double-lane is at least 5 meters wide. For safety reasons or to accommodate medium to large vehicles, many are set at 6 meters or more. The site plan question for the 2004 National First-Class Architect Registration Exam featured a parking lot design, with the parking space dimensions pre-set at 2.5 by 5 meters. The two-way turnaround lane was pre-set at 5 meters.
