A steam separator is a device used for steam distribution, commonly found in industrial steam systems. It distributes steam as needed, delivering it to the required equipment and units. Typically, a steam separator consists of a cylindrical shell and an internal steam distributor. The steam distributor evenly distributes steam to each outlet pipe, allowing for control over the distributor's opening and flow rate to achieve the desired steam distribution effect. Steam separators are usually installed in steam piping systems, capable of accepting high-pressure, high-temperature steam from steam generators or other steam equipment and distributing it to the necessary equipment and units to meet process and production requirements. They are characterized by their ability to withstand high temperatures and pressures, and can also be adjusted to reduce steam temperature and pressure as needed.
