SiO2 quartz sand is a hard, wear-resistant, and chemically stable silicate mineral, primarily composed of SiO2. It features a milky white or colorless translucent appearance, with a hardness of 7, brittle without cleavage, and a shell-like fracture. It has an oily luster, a density of 2.65, and a bulk density ranging from 1.6 to 1.8 for sizes 1-20 mesh, and 1.5 for sizes 20-200 mesh. Its chemical, thermal, and mechanical properties exhibit significant anisotropy, it is insoluble in acids, slightly soluble in KOH solution, and has a melting point of 1750°C. Milky white, in 1-ton bags and 50 kg small bags.
