Overview
The SIMATIC PM 1507 Single-Phase Load Power Supply (PM = Power Module) features an automatic input voltage range selection function. Its design and functionality are highly suitable for the SIMATIC S7-1500 PLC. It powers S7-1500 system components (such as, CPU, system power supply (PS), I/O circuits for input and output modules, etc.); it also supplies 24 VDC power to sensors and actuators.
Design
These power supplies can be directly mounted onto the S7-1500 mounting rail (without connecting to the backplane bus) and can be installed directly to the left side of the CPU (no installation gap required).
Status and Fault Diagnosis Display LED: Operating, Fault, Standby
ON/OFF switch (Operational/Standby) for module replacement
Power connection plug with touch protection, connected to the input cable via cable tensioning components (fixed wiring available).
Insertable 24V DC output terminal with polarity reverse protection, designed for connecting 24V loads (fixed wiring available)
Features
Through automatic range switching, connects to all 50/60 Hz (120/230 V AC) single-phase power grids
Short-term power surge protector
Output 24V DC voltage, limited to 28V DC (to prevent excessive voltage from damaging the 24V load)
For short-term overloads, there's an "extra power" of 50% available for 5 seconds per minute, such as when switching 24V electrical equipment
Connect two load power supplies in parallel to enhance performance.
Overview
SIMATIC S7-1500 Power Supply
Used to convert AC or DC power voltage to the working voltage required for the internal circuit
25 W or 60 W Output Power
Suitable for S7-1500 or ET 200MP
Configure via STEP 7 V12 and higher versions
Application
Power supplies (PS) are used to power the internal circuits of S7-1500 modules via the backplane bus. For instance, if the power provided by the CPU or interface module to the backplane bus is insufficient to power all connected modules, or if more than one power segment needs to be implemented in the S7-1500 configuration or in the distributed configuration of ET 200MP, these power supplies should be utilized.
Design
The power supply is directly mounted to the S7-1500 installation rail with screws and connected to upstream or downstream modules via a U-shaped connector.
The front of the power supply includes:
Status and Fault Diagnostics Display LED
Fault (Error), Operation (RUN), Maintenance (MAINT)
Power supply includes:
On/Off Switch
Power terminal
