Application Areas:
The 1010/1015 carbon steel ball is a standard ball with low price and high hardness, widely used in applications such as bicycles, bearings, pulleys, slides, crafts, shelves, swivel balls, bags, small hardware, and can also be used for grinding other materials.
Features: Magnetic, ferritic microstructure, usually in oil packaging; typically electroplated for external exposure, options include zinc, gold, nickel, chrome plating, etc.; high wear resistance, HRC 50-55.
Comparison: Compared to ball bearings made of bearing steel, carbon steel balls have lower wear resistance and hardness (the hardness of GCR15 steel balls is HRC60-66): therefore, their service life is relatively shorter.
