Application Fields:
440C stainless steel balls are commonly used in industries that demand high precision and corrosion resistance: aviation, aerospace, bearings, motors, high-precision instruments, valves, and oil.
Features:
The microstructure belongs to the Martensitic type steel, requiring a high level of production process. There are fewer companies in China capable of producing stainless steel 440C, hence those that can produce this material are often hailed as producers of special stainless steel. The heat treatment process is complex, prone to cracking, and demands high precision, making it one of the harder stainless steel balls: HRC ≧ 58. It is as hard as bearing steel balls but offers superior corrosion and rust resistance.
Compared to 440 stainless steel balls, it offers superior rust and corrosion resistance, enhanced hardness, and improved wear resistance as well.
