Anhydrous nitric acid is produced by neutralizing ammonia with 50% dilute nitric acid. During the production process, water absorbs the heat generated by the neutralization reaction and vaporizes, resulting in a 70%-75% nitric acid solution. This solution is then evaporated, concentrated, and crystallized to obtain the final product. During vaporization and crystallization, water vapor inevitably carries some anhydrous nitric acid and free hydrogen. After condensation, these substances are contained in the condensate. If the condensate is not properly treated and discharged directly, it not only pollutes the environment but also hampers the full utilization of water resources.
During the treatment process of nitric acid anhydride, the application of electro dialysis technology is particularly prominent. Electro dialysis technology can be used to treat high-concentration nitric acid anhydride condensate, with relatively low equipment investment and operating costs. It effectively recovers nitric acid and freshwater from the condensate, reducing wastewater discharge and enhancing the recovery and utilization of the nitric acid anhydride condensate. This not only brings economic benefits to the enterprise but also contributes to social benefits, promoting the sustainable development of the company and the effective protection and recycling of the environment and resources.
