I. Equipment Overview
The HYFX series of organic waste gas activated carbon adsorption catalytic purification units is suitable for treating organic waste gases with normal temperature (≤40℃), high air volume, low concentration (≤500mg/m³), and high volatility. It can handle volatile organic solvents such as ketones, esters, aldehydes, ethers, alkanes, and more.
This unit is widely used for the purification of low-concentration organic waste gases emitted during painting processes in industries such as automotive, ink printing, shipbuilding, motorcycles, furniture, household appliances, and steel structure production factories. It can also be used in conjunction with production lines in the chemical, cable, and varnished wire industries.
2. Working Principle
HYFX series organic waste gas purification units utilize honeycombActivated Carbon AdsorptionA combination of three processes—hot gas desorption and regeneration, catalytic combustion—is used to purify organic waste gases. Activated carbon, with its numerous micropores and large surface tension, adsorbs organic solvents from the waste gases, resulting in purified emissions during the working process. Once the activated carbon is adsorbed to saturation, the organic solvents are desorbed using hot gas at a certain concentration ratio and sent to the catalytic combustion bed. The high-concentration organic waste gases entering the catalytic combustion bed are further heated and, under the action of precious metal catalysts, undergo low-temperature oxygen decomposition, converting to water. The heat released during decomposition is recovered by a heat exchanger and used to heat the high-concentration organic waste gases entering the catalytic combustion bed. After a certain period of operation, these three processes reach a self-balanced state, and desorption and catalytic decomposition processes require little to no external energy for heating. Section 3: Performance Features
Ø The system employs a combination of adsorption concentration and catalytic combustion processes, achieving a closed-loop purification and desorption process. Compared to recovery-type organic waste gas purification units, it does not require additional energy sources such as compressed air and steam, produces no secondary pollution during operation, and has low equipment investment and operating costs.
Ø Utilize specially molded honeycomb-shaped activated carbon as the adsorbent material, offering a long service life for the adsorbent, low resistance in the adsorption system, and high purification efficiency (≥90%).
Ø Palladium and platinum are used as catalysts supported on honeycomb ceramic, achieving a catalytic combustion rate of over 97%. The catalysts have a long lifespan, low decomposition temperature, short desorption preheating time, and low energy consumption.
Ø Utilizing a PLC centralized control system, the equipment operates and the process is fully automated, ensuring stable and reliable performance.
Ø Utilizing dry dust filtration materials, offers high purification efficiency, ensuring the longevity of the adsorption unit.
Ø Comprehensive safety facilities are in place, including fire extinguishers, pressure relief membranes, alarms, and automatic shutdown measures.
Ø Can be used for purifying treatment of organic waste gases produced by continuous or intermittent production processes.
