The elbow fittings of ductile iron pipes are available in T, K, N1, and S types.

Ductile iron pipes are essentially spheroidal cast iron pipes. Due to the inherent nature of iron and the properties of steel in spheroidal cast iron pipes, this name is used. The graphite in spheroidal cast iron pipes exists in a spherical form, typically ranging in size from 6 to 7 grades. In terms of quality, the spheroidizing grade of the cast iron pipes should be controlled at 1-3 grades, with a spheroidizing rate of ≥80%. As a result, the material's mechanical properties are significantly improved, retaining the nature of iron and the properties of steel.

Ductile iron pipes can be classified based on the wall thickness coefficient K or the allowable working pressure C. When classified based on the allowable working pressure C, sizes from DN1000 and above should be classified based on the wall thickness coefficient K. Flexible interface components are denoted by a letter "C" added in front of 10 times the PFA (Permitted Working Pressure) when classified based on the working pressure allowed. For instance, if the PFA is 4Mpa, the pressure grade would be 0.

If the pipe cracks due to excessive temperature during heat treatment during casting, or if there is no appropriate addition of effective components to prevent over-hardening and maintain appropriate brittleness during casting, the crack will occur. If the performance of the pipe does not meet the required standards, especially if the pressure it withstands is significant, it will need to be recast for a new one. The most common leaks are usually at pipeline joints. There are many reasons for this, and the main factors are as follows:

1. It's damage at the joint of pipes and pipe fittings, or the pipe fittings themselves. Solution: Minor leakage can be焊接(welded) to fix, while severe leakage requires being completely covered with cement for protective treatment.

2. Ductile iron pipes are not properly seated or the installation angle exceeds the standard. Solution: Check the installation line printed at the socket for confirmation of proper installation as per requirements.

3. The socket of the ductile iron pipe is elliptical, and the rubber ring does not provide a sealing effect. Solution: Replace with a qualified product or true the circle.

4. The ball-shaped cast iron pipe has flipped over the gasket, causing damage and rendering it ineffective for sealing. Solution: Reinstall correctly.

5. The socket of the ductile iron pipe has debris stuck on it, not cleaned thoroughly, which prevents the gasket from providing a proper seal. Solution: Reinstall correctly.

6. Poor quality O-rings, unable to recover elasticity after compression, fail to provide a seal. Solution: Replace with a qualified product. If replacement is not possible, use a ductile iron hub (for socket use) as an alternative.

7. Tube or O-ring radial dimensions are not up to standard, or cannot be interchanged, resulting in poor sealing. Solution: Replace with qualified products.
