What is LFGB certification? What are the logo and process for Germany's LFGB food-grade certification?
Section 1: Definition of LFGB Certification
In September 2005, Germany's new Food and Feed Law (LFGB) replaced the former Food and Consumer Goods Law (LMBG). Also known as the "Food Production and Other Consumer Goods Management Law," it is a crucial fundamental legal document in Germany's food hygiene management. It serves as the guideline and core for the formulation of other specific food hygiene laws and regulations. Consumer goods that come into contact with food, upon passing tests, can obtain an LFGB test report issued by an authorized body, certifying them as "products free of chemical toxic substances," and they are eligible for sale in the German market.
