Brown fused alumina is primarily made from bauxite and coke (anthracite) through high-temperature smelting in an arc furnace. The abrasive tools made from it are suitable for grinding metals with high tensile strength, such as various carbon steels, malleable cast iron, and hard bronze, and can also be used to produce refractory materials. Brown fused alumina boasts high purity, good crystalline structure, strong fluidity, low coefficient of linear expansion, and corrosion resistance. After being tested by dozens of refractory material manufacturers, this product has proven to be non-explosive, non-pulverizable, and non-cracking during use. Particularly, its superior cost-performance ratio compared to traditional brown fused alumina makes it the ideal aggregate and filler for brown fused alumina-based refractory materials.
Brown fused alumina application range
Brown corundum is known as the "teeth of industry": mainly used in refractory materials, sandpapers, and sandblasting.
1. Used for manufacturing refractory materials, casting materials, refractory bricks, etc.
2. Sandblasting - with moderate abrasive hardness, high bulk density, free of free silicon dioxide, high specific gravity, and good toughness, it is an ideal "environmentally friendly" sandblasting material, widely used in aluminum profiles, copper profiles, glass, delicate molds for washing denim, and other fields.
3. Free Grinding - Grinding-grade abrasive materials, used for free grinding in fields such as cathode ray tubes, optical glass, single crystal silicon, lenses, glass for watches, crystal glass, jade articles, etc., are widely used grinding materials in China.
4. Resin Abrasive Tools - The abrasive has suitable color, good hardness, toughness, appropriate particle cross-section type, and edge retention, which is ideal for use in resin abrasive tools.
5. Bonded Abrasive Products - Abrasive materials such as sandpaper and cloth are the raw materials used by manufacturers.
6. Functional Filler - Primarily used in automotive brake parts, special tires, special construction materials, etc., which can be used for constructing highway surfaces, airport runways, docks, parking lots, industrial floors, and sports fields, serving as wear-resistant materials.
7. Filtration Media - A novel application field for abrasives, utilizing granular abrasives as the bottom layer medium for the filtration bed to purify drinking water or wastewater. It is a new type of water filtration material both domestically and internationally, particularly suitable for non-ferrous metal ore beneficiation: oil drilling mud weighting agent:
8. Water Jet Cutting - Utilizing abrasive as the cutting medium, it relies on high-pressure water jet streams for basic cutting. Applied to cutting oil (natural gas) pipelines, steel components, etc., it is a new, environmentally friendly, and safe cutting method.
