QH Type Flat Ring Filler
The QH Type Flat Ring Filler is a novel high-efficiency dispersed packed filler developed by Tsinghua University. It is mainly designed for situations where fillers suitable for distillation processes do not achieve ideal separation effects in liquid-liquid extraction processes, making the QH Type Flat Ring more suitable for extraction processes. The flat ring structure of the filler reduces the geometric center of gravity of the individual filler unit, minimizes the horizontal placement of the fillers in the bed, thereby reducing the horizontal placement rate and enhancing the stability of the filler units in an upright position. The QH Type Flat Ring Filler includes QH1 Type Flat Ring Filler and QH-2 Type Flat Ring Filler. Among them, the QH-1 Type Flat Ring Filler features an inwardly curved rib structure that distinguishes it from traditional fillers. This structure strengthens the filler while promoting the circulation of droplet groups, improving the processing capacity and mass transfer efficiency of the packed tower. The use of a high aspect ratio of 0.2 to 0.3 reduces the severe axial mixing characteristic of the liquid-liquid system, making randomly placed fillers have a certain degree of ordered arrangement, reducing resistance drop, and thereby effectively inhibiting the non-ideal flow of the liquid-liquid phases. Additionally, according to different extraction systems and production requirements, the DN38 stainless steel flat ring fillers can be made in various specifications using different materials. After extensive experimental and industrial application verification, the QH-1 Type Flat Ring is suitable for liquid-liquid extraction processes with low interfacial tension systems. This filler boasts excellent performance with low resistance drop, high processing capacity and mass transfer efficiency, and a wide range of selectivity.

DN38 Stainless Steel Flat Ring Packing, Metal QH-1 Type Flat Ring (i.e., the flat ring packing with an inner bent arc rib) is a new type of bulk packing developed by Tsinghua University in response to the progress of foreign chemical tower equipment and the urgent needs of the "Four Modernizations" construction. It has obtained a national invention patent (Patent No. ZL89109152.1). The main technical features of this packing are as follows: (1) It employs a different inner bent arc rib structure from traditional packing, making the flow channels within the packing more rational and promoting the droplet clusters
Dispersal-Aggregation-Re-dispersal cycle significantly enhances the mass transfer efficiency of the packing. Additionally, this structure strengthens the packing while preventing the use of flanges that may cause droplet coalescence or material coking. (2) The adoption of a high aspect ratio of 0.3 with a very low diameter ratio ensures that the packing maintains an orderly arrangement even in disordered堆积, thereby reducing the pressure drop and effectively controlling the non-ideal flow of two phases. This further improves processing capacity and mass transfer efficiency. (3) Various materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloys, plastics, and ceramics can be processed according to system and production requirements. Available in sizes ranging from 16mm to dΦ25mm, 38mm, 50mm, and 75mm, offering a wide range of selection with great design flexibility.

Systematic experimental research and industrial applications demonstrate that the internal bending arc-shaped ribbed flat ring packing material exhibits excellent performance: when used in liquid-liquid extraction, this packing material significantly outperforms foreign imports such as Baffles, Intalox saddles, etc., with smaller axial mixing, higher processing capacity, and a mass transfer efficiency increase of over 20%. In gas-liquid mass transfer processes, it boasts high processing capacity, low pressure drop, and high mass transfer efficiency. Under high liquid spray density, its performance surpasses foreign imports like Baffles, Intalox, and Mela-pk. Currently, the DN38 model stainless steel flat ring packing material and the metal QH-1 flat ring have been successfully applied in the technical transformation of hundreds of industrial units in processes such as lubricant refining, aromatic extraction, liquefied gas desulfurization, carbon removal towers in synthetic ammonia plants, and regeneration towers, yielding favorable economic and social benefits. Research and development of the QH-2 flat ring (plum blossom flat ring) have been conducted to further enhance the performance of flat ring packing materials. This packing material consists of flat rings with rectangular windows and internal bending arc-shaped ribs connected to the two short sides of the rectangular windows. The characteristic lies in the plum blossom-shaped flat rings, with a pair of adjacent and broken petals, leaving a small gap between the folded edges; each plum blossom petal ring wall has a rectangular window in the middle; and each internal bending arc-shaped rib connected to the two short sides of the rectangular window has a small rectangular window, with each small window regularly connected to a tongue that points towards the center of the flat ring and evenly divides the internal packing channels.
