The polypropylene trough-type liquid distributor is composed of troughs of varying lengths, with main and auxiliary troughs. The auxiliary troughs come in independent and interconnected styles. The liquid first enters the main trough, which then distributes it to the auxiliary troughs, after which it is sprayed onto the packing surface. To prevent splashing and fluctuations in the liquid level within the main trough, the flow rate of the liquid feed pipe should not exceed 1.2 m/s. The trough distributors are typically designed in a modular manner for easy assembly inside the tower through the manhole, usually with 23 troughs integrated into one unit to maintain consistent liquid levels within, facilitating even distribution. To enhance the distribution effect of the trough-type liquid distributor, our technical staff often set baffles near the spray holes during design, fragmenting the fluid ejected from the spray holes into droplet clusters, transforming point spray into line spray, thereby achieving uniform distribution; the tray-type gas-liquid distributor is composed of rectangular riser pipes, angle or channel steel guide liquid pipes, dovetail or channel steel liquid baffles, flat plates, support rings, and support beams. The main difference from the tray-type liquid distributor lies in the two rows of holes, larger at the top and smaller at the bottom, which are respectively opened at the top, middle, or lower middle of the rectangular riser pipe. The different diameters of holes along the same vertical line are covered by angle or channel steel guide liquid pipes. The liquid in the tray enters the liquid pipe through the spray holes, protected by the guide liquid pipes as it passes through the high gas velocity and variable gas velocity zones from the low gas velocity zone, hence the length of the guide liquid pipe is extended by 100mm.

It should be easy to manufacture and install. The distribution points of the liquid across the tower cross-section are not infinite. For small-hole distributors, it is often preferable to have more holes for better uniform distribution. However, for a given liquid flow rate, more holes result in smaller hole diameters. Excessively small diameters make the distributor sensitive to solid impurities, more prone to clogging, and can actually lead to uneven distribution. The minimum hole diameter should be determined based on the presence of solid particles in the material. The operational flexibility of packed towers is often not determined by the packing performance but by the operational flexibility of the liquid distributor. The operational flexibility of polypropylene槽式 liquid distributors is typically 30% to 100%, which is fully sufficient for continuous operation towers. For batch distillation towers, there are significant fluctuations in the回流 ratio throughout the operating cycle. The components to be separated in multipurpose towers often change, resulting in large variations in回流 ratios or spray quantities. In such cases, the operational flexibility of the liquid distributor is high and requires special design; otherwise, the tower's separation performance may be inconsistent.
