Our adhesive-tape for anti-corrosion of viscoelastic materials, produced in accordance with the CDP-G-OGP-AC-017-2013-2 regulation and the SY/T5918-2017 technical standard, is made by applying a butyl rubber-modified polyisobutylene adhesive onto a non-stick base material. It differs from conventional anti-corrosion viscoelastic tape in that it lacks a reinforcing mesh in the middle; its shape is not in block form like anti-corrosion viscoelastic paste, but in a strip-like state. The viscoelastic anti-corrosion tape boasts excellent cold flow properties, self-healing capabilities, strong adhesion, and good chemical resistance, without cathodic delamination, preventing moisture intrusion and microbial corrosion. It does not peel off, harden, or crack, and its unique long-lasting effectiveness is excellent. It is used for anti-corrosion purposes on various non-standard equipment and components such as steel flanges, valves, and pump bodies in industries like oil and gas, refining, city gas, LNG, offshore platforms, chemicals, nuclear power, thermal power, material reserves, tap water, and wastewater treatment. Surface treatment requirements are low during use, and priming and preheating are not necessary. Due to the high flexibility of the viscoelastic anti-corrosion tape, which is prone to damage, it is essential to use high-strength polyethylene adhesive tape, polypropylene adhesive tape, or other materials for external protection.
