The products are mainly based on the technical standard SY/T0414-2017, and are available in two types: thin adhesive (without release film) and thick adhesive (with release film). The base material is a calendered rough film (sheet) made of mixed high and low density polyethylene. The adhesives used are high-performance butyl rubber for the adhesive layer and butyl rubber with polyisobutylene-modified petroleum asphalt. Both models are produced using the solvent-free hot melt bonding process domestically. Polyethylene anti-corrosion tape is mainly used for the anti-corrosion protection of steel pipe bodies and pipe fittings in industries such as oil, natural gas, chemicals, electricity, shipping, and urban construction.
When using anti-corrosion tape as the protective layer, it is recommended to pair it with an anti-corrosion primer to form an excellent corrosion-resistant system that is resistant to acids and alkalis, aging, and erosion. When used as a protective layer for flexible anti-corrosion materials such as viscoelastic substances or oily mineral fats, it offers a completely reliable seal and robust protection against stress-induced damage and destruction.
