Our company specializes in recycling solder dross. The recycled solder dross is primarily processed in the following ways:
Directly sell the tin slag, which is essentially treated as scrap.
Simple, convenient, and cost-effective solution—contact us if you have any inquiries. We are a professional tin slag recycling company.
2. Direct exchange of solder bars with manufacturers:
Most of the profit goes to the manufacturers of tin strips. If leaded and unleaded strips are accidentally mixed during storage or transportation, the price difference is significant, and the exchange rate naturally drops!
3. Tin Slag Reduction Machine Usage
The Tin Slag Reduction Machine is a relatively simple piece of equipment. It primarily involves heating solder to melt it into a liquid, then separating the liquid solder from oxides using gravity. Oxides do not melt. Since it uses a physical reduction method, oxidized tin slag cannot be reduced back to tin. What is often referred to as 'reduced' tin is merely pure tin mixed in during the process of compacting the slag. The high temperatures, pressure, and friction from the reduction machine actually re-oxidize the pure tin mixed in during compaction. It takes up space, requires dedicated operation, consumes electricity, and is noisy, with complex processes for recovery, transportation, storage, and reduction, which increases management costs. With a low reduction rate to begin with, subtracting the rent for equipment space, storage space, employee wages, electricity, and equipment investment, it might be more cost-effective to simply exchange tin bars with the manufacturer!
Common Sense: Any oxide can only be reduced through ionic or atomic displacement, i.e., a chemical displacement reaction. Physical reduction methods are not capable of conducting reduction reactions.
Utilize antioxidant oils or antioxidants:
Utilize it to cover the surface of molten metal, thereby isolating it from air to reduce oxidation. Tin slag primarily forms when the raised wave peaks of molten tin reflow back into the tin pot, and similarly, tin slag covering the surface of molten tin can also isolate air to reduce the formation of tin slag! It's better not to use it than to do so!
4. Reducing Agent or Reducer
Most are inorganic metal salts, the vast majority of which have some degree of corrosiveness to metal. They produce large smoke, strong odor, and a lot of dust, and may carry sparks, potentially causing a fire or clogging the nozzles, making equipment maintenance difficult. Due to their conductivity, once they accidentally come into contact with a PCB board, they are hard to clean off and will affect the electrical performance of the product and the reliability of the solder joints!
