Pre-fabricated railway line guardrails should be transported to the site for installation, in accordance with the provisions of the "Railway Line Guardrail Management Method."
The smooth terrain is protected with a 2.2m high reinforced concrete fence + barbed wire roll form. This fence offers good stability and is suitable for most areas, but has the drawback of poor climbing ability, with an unsuitable ground slope exceeding 12°. For slopes of 6° or less, the fence unit length is 3.0m, and for slopes between 6° and 12°, the fence unit length is 1.59m.
Steep slopes are equipped with a 2.2m high concrete guardrail in a stepped design, combined with a barbed wire roll cage. For slopes with significant ground undulations and slopes exceeding 12°, where conventional reinforced concrete guardrails are no longer adaptable to the terrain changes, special guardrails are required to mitigate the issue of the lower rail being too high off the ground due to the increased slope gradient.
High-speed rail guardrails on both sides of the entire line are constructed using concrete cement protective fences, metal mesh, and barbed wire rolls. The raw materials for the high-speed rail guardrails are all made of national standard angle steel, steel pipes, and low-carbon steel wire, which are more aesthetically pleasing and have stronger protective and deterrent functions compared to the traditional expressway and railway guardrails.
