Warehouse racking is primarily used for storing goods in warehouses, so most companies require custom-made racking. For instance, mezzanine racking is a common type of warehouse racking. Some companies, however, due to warehouse relocation or other reasons, find themselves without the need for custom racking shortly after installation and hope the storage racking manufacturer can recycle it. Can storage racking be recycled?

Most storage rack manufacturers primarily focus on producing and selling racks, without a rack recycling service. Since storage racks are generally customized to meet specific customer needs, there's uncertainty about when they can be resold after recycling. They can be sold on second-hand product sales platforms or sold as scrap metal to recover some of the procurement costs. If continued use is needed, relocation can be considered; however, it's also important to assess the relocation costs and determine if it's more cost-effective than purchasing new ones.
