II. Operating Principle
The swirl aerator is a gas-liquid mixer designed according to the principles of fluid dynamics. Large volumes of compressed air are directly sent into the gas-liquid mixer through a small-diameter air supply pipe, where it is deflected by a guide plate into a spiral ascending flow. This flow then encounters a wedge-shaped insert within the mixer, breaking it into fine bubbles. These fine bubbles are thoroughly mixed with the liquid drawn into the mixer and spiral out, creating a circular flow around the gas-liquid mixer. This increases the residence time of the microbubbles in the water, significantly enhancing the oxygen utilization rate. As a result, the air supplied and the active sludge in the pool achieve a mixed state and extended residence time.
