The primary function of the steel back on the D1345 brake pad is to secure the friction material, facilitating easy installation in the braking system. The steel back is a component of the brake pad. Currently, disc brakes are widely used in the market, and almost all disc brake pads have high-intensity friction material sintered onto a steel plate. This plate moves freely within the caliper under the push of the brake fluid cylinder. Since this steel plate is positioned behind the friction pad, it is commonly referred to as the steel back.
