Polymethyl methacrylate (POM), also known as acetal resin, polyoxymethylene, and polyacetal, is a thermoplastic crystalline polymer, often referred to as "super steel" or "steel-like." POM is resistant to strong alkalis and oxidizers, and has some stability against carboxylic acids and weak acids. It exhibits good solvent resistance, capable of withstanding hydrocarbons, alcohols, aldehydes, ethers, gasoline, lubricants, and weak alkalis, while maintaining considerable chemical stability at high temperatures. It has low water absorption and excellent dimensional stability.Axle shafts, planetary gear washers, and more for automotive use not only save copper but also extend service life. They are also suitable for radiator water pipe valves, radiator box lids, pump impellers, gear housings, carburetor casings, throttle pedal parts, as well as heater fans, control rods, various switches, bearing brackets, regulator handles, brakes, and washing pumps, among other components.
