Polysulfone PPS is a new type of high-performance thermoplastic resin.Over 80% of PPS usage is achieved through composite reinforced modified materials made by blending PPS with reinforcing fibers or fillers, which are the major application categories of PPS. In addition, blending PPS with other high polymers to create PPS alloys is a significant method to expand its applications. Currently, the main alloy types include PPS/PA, PPS/PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), and PPS/PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). For instance, due to PPS's poor impact resistance, blending it with PBT resin not only maintains PPS's original excellent properties but also enhances its toughness. The PPS/PTFE alloy, with its high performance and self-lubricating characteristics, is widely used in mechanical, automotive, aerospace, and military fields.
