PA6 is a translucent to opaque, milky white or pale yellow, keratinous crystalline polymer.PA6 nylon plastic is easily absorbent to moisture, so drying before processing is particularly important. If the material is supplied in moisture-proof packaging, the container should be kept sealed. If the humidity exceeds 0.2%, it is recommended to dry in hot air above 80℃ for 16 hours. If the material has been exposed to air for more than 8 hours, it is suggested to vacuum dry at 105℃ for more than 8 hours. For structural components, crystallinity is crucial, thus it is recommended to set the mold temperature between 80-90°C. For thin-walled and longer-running parts, a higher mold temperature is also suggested. Increasing the mold temperature can enhance the stiffness of the plastic part but may reduce its toughness. If the wall thickness exceeds 3mm, a lower mold temperature of 20-40°C is recommended. For reinforced materials, the mold temperature should be above 80°C.
