The residential gate system is a specialized equipment for handling the entrance and exit of motor vehicle traffic on roads, now widely used at highway toll stations, parking lots, residential communities, and corporate entrances for vehicle management. Electric gates can be independently controlled remotely to raise and lower the bar, or they can be activated through a parking management system (i.e., an IC card access system). Depending on the application, the gates can be straight bars, 90-degree curved bars, 180-degree folding bars, or grating gates.
When a vehicle passes through the ground-loop inductance, an inductive signal is transmitted to the vehicle detector, which then triggers two relay signals: one for entry into the ground-loop and another for departure. Each signal has both normally open and normally closed configurations. Additionally, the boom gate typically has a ground-loop infrared input interface. Normally, the vehicle detection signal is connected to the ground-loop infrared interface, so when a vehicle approaches, the boom gate is raised upon card swipe, and it lowers automatically when the vehicle passes. However, if the supplier's product lacks a ground-loop infrared interface, or if the interface is faulty, or if the new vehicle detector and ground-loop infrared interface are not compatible, they may connect the vehicle detector's two signals to the boom gate's raise and lower ports. This still ensures the boom gate lowers automatically when the vehicle passes, and prevents the gate from lowering unnecessarily when the vehicle is present. The only drawback is that the gate may open when the vehicle is pressed against the ground-loop. Another scenario involves issues with the boom gate control board or card swipe main board, which can be determined by examining how the现场 lines are connected.
