The residential gate system is a specialized access control device for restricting motor vehicle traffic on roads, now widely used at highway toll stations, parking lots, residential communities, and corporate entrances to manage vehicle in and out. Electric gates can be operated independently via remote control to raise and lower the barrier, or they can be actively managed through the parking lot management system (i.e., an IC card access system). Depending on the application, the barriers can be straight, 90-degree curved, 180-degree bent, or栅门 (garden gate).
When a vehicle passes through the ground-loop sensor, an inductive signal is transmitted to the vehicle detector. The vehicle detector then announces two relay signals: one for the entry into the ground-loop sensor and another for the exit. Each group has both normally open and normally closed signals. Additionally, the barrier gate usually has a ground-loop infrared input interface. Normally, the vehicle detection signal is connected to the ground-loop infrared interface. When a vehicle approaches, the barrier gate is opened upon swiping a card, and it closes automatically when the vehicle passes. However, if the supplier's product lacks a ground-loop infrared interface, or if the interface is damaged, or if the new vehicle detector and the ground-loop infrared interface are not compatible, they connect the vehicle detector's two signals to the barrier gate's open and close ports. This still ensures the barrier gate closes automatically when the vehicle passes and prevents the gate from lifting when the vehicle touches the ground-loop sensor. The only drawback is that the barrier gate will open if the vehicle is pressed against the ground-loop barrier. Another situation is when there is an issue with the barrier gate control board or the card reading main board, mainly determined by how the现场 lines are connected.
