The residential gate system is a specialized equipment for managing the entry and exit of vehicle traffic on roads, now widely used at highway toll stations, parking lots, residential communities, and corporate entrances for vehicle management. Electric gates can be operated independently via remote control to lift or lower the bar, or they can be activated proactively through the parking management system (i.e., IC card swipe system). Depending on the application, the gate bars can be straight, 90-degree curved, 180-degree folded, or grille gates.
When a vehicle passes through the ground-loop inductance sensor, an inductive signal is transmitted to the vehicle detector. The vehicle detector then announces two relay signals: one for entering the ground-loop inductance sensor and another for exiting. Each set includes both normally open and normally closed signals. Additionally, the boom gate typically has a ground-loop infrared input interface. Under normal circumstances, the vehicle detection signal is connected to the ground-loop infrared interface. When a vehicle approaches, the boom gate is raised upon card swipe; it lowers automatically when the vehicle passes. However, if the supplier's product lacks a ground-loop infrared interface, or if the interface is damaged, or if the new vehicle detector and ground-loop infrared interface are not compatible, they connect the vehicle detector's two sets of signals to the boom gate's open and close ports. This still ensures the boom gate lowers automatically when the vehicle passes and prevents the gate from lowering when the vehicle is stationary, but the drawback is that the gate may open if the vehicle is pressed against the ground-loop. Another scenario is when there is an issue with the boom gate control board or the card swipe main board, which can be determined by inspecting how the现场 lines are connected.
