The residential gate system is a specialized equipment for handling vehicle entry and exit at road access points, designed to restrict motor vehicle traffic. It is now widely used at highway toll stations, parking lots, residential communities, and corporate entrances for vehicle management. Electric gates can be operated independently via remote control to raise or lower the barrier, or can be activated passively through the parking management system (i.e., IC card access system). When a vehicle passes through the ground induction loop, an inductive signal is transmitted to the vehicle detector. The vehicle detector then announces two relay signals: one for the entry into the ground induction loop and another for the exit. Each set consists of both normally open and normally closed signals. Additionally, the barrier gate typically has a ground induction infrared input interface. Normally, the vehicle detection signal is connected to the ground induction infrared interface. The barrier gate is opened when a vehicle approaches and the barrier gate is lowered when the vehicle passes. However, if the supplier's product lacks a ground induction infrared interface, or if the interface is damaged, or if the new vehicle detector and the ground induction infrared interface are not compatible, they connect the two sets of signals from the vehicle detector to the barrier gate's opening and closing ports. This ensures the barrier gate is lowered automatically when the vehicle passes and prevents the barrier gate from being raised when the vehicle touches the ground induction loop. The only drawback is that the barrier gate may open if the vehicle is pressed against the ground induction loop.
