High oil and salt content in kitchen waste, if not properly handled, can not only cause extensive secondary pollution but also lead to serious social issues as some unscrupulous vendors use kitchen waste as raw material to produce gutter oil. The complexity of the composition of kitchen waste determines that it is difficult to be processed using only existing treatment technologies. The product of this process mainly includes non-condensable gaseous, biomass oil, and solid carbon black.

3. Solid Black Carbon

Solid black carbon can be used as industrial fuel, for making carbon-based fertilizers, and for improving soil properties. The cracked products, co-pyrolyzed with lignite (original phytic acid), produce high-carbon-based fertilizers that are suitable for forestry greening, particularly for the planting of Eucommia ulmoides and other green trees.

Almost all kitchen waste has been recycled, effectively preventing gutter oil and slop oil from returning to the dining table, thus safeguarding the food safety of the entire nation.
