Magna-Mike 8600
Magna-Mike 8600This is a portable thickness gauge that utilizes a simple magnetic method for reliable and highly reproducible thickness measurements on non-ferrous materials. The Magna-Mike gauge is extremely easy to operate. During measurement, hold or move the magnetic probe on one side of the material being measured, and place a small target steel ball (or target disc, target steel wire) on the other side of the material or inside a container. The Hall effect sensor in the probe measures the distance from the probe tip to the target steel ball. The measured distance is immediately displayed on the screen in large, colorful font as the thickness reading.

Built-in alphanumeric data recorder
The Magna-Mike is equipped with a file-based alphanumeric data recorder for easy storage and transfer of thickness readings.
Data recorders can store thickness readings in the following 4 standard file formats: incremental, sequential, sequential with custom points, and two-dimensional raster.
l You can use WINXL to directly send data to Excel data tables in the form of individual send or file send.
l Send data to other SPC programs

Directly connect to Excel spreadsheet
The Magna-Mike 8600 features RS-232 and USB outputs, allowing the instrument to directly transfer data to Excel spreadsheets. The built-in WINXL interface program can send thickness readings either individually or as file transmissions.
