The explosion-proof sewage pump operates smoothly due to the significant role played by the motor. Let's delve into its performance features below!

The motor utilizes a Y-type dry-type explosion-proof three-phase asynchronous motor, featuring high starting torque, excellent operational performance, low noise, compact size, light weight, and easy maintenance. It also boasts superior explosion-proof structural performance and a high protection level, making it suitable for use in environments with explosive gases such as methane or coal dust, including mining faces and tunnels below mines with explosive hazards, when paired with water pumps.

Explosion-proof effluent pumps are integrated power drainage equipment consisting of a pump and motor. They are aesthetically pleasing, have a simple structure, excellent sealing performance, stable performance, long service life, and are easy to install and use. They can operate continuously underwater for long periods and are widely used for automatic drainage in coal mine vertical shafts, inclined shafts, and scattered coal slurry at the bottom of the wells. Internal-motor type electric pumps have water flowing through the motor's interlayer, effectively extending the pump's lifespan. External-motor type electric pumps feature dual-channel large flow impellers, operate smoothly, have strong effluent capability, anti-entanglement, and no clogging. Difference Between Explosion-Proof Submersible Pumps and Standard Submersible Pumps

Due to the need for many users to meet explosion-proof standards in their operating environments when using any electrical products, such as in chemical factories, gas stations, and similar settings, it is mandatory to comply with explosion-proof standards. The same requirement applies when using submersible pumps.

Features of explosion-proof submersible pumps: Based on the submersible sewage pump, the original ordinary motor is replaced with an explosion-proof motor. An additional explosion-proof head is added to the pump body to prevent sparks from the motor and wiring, thus avoiding fire and explosion accidents. The explosion-proof submersible pump's cable also uses explosion-proof submersible cable, based on the standard submersible cable used in ordinary submersible pumps, to meet explosion-proof standards. The main features are that these pumps are strictly prohibited from transporting flammable and explosive liquids, as the entire motor is submerged in liquid. Any cable damage or electrical leakage from the pump could lead to sparks and pose a hazard, making them suitable only for environments requiring explosion-proof conditions.

There are several types of submersible pumps, with motor winding packages available in oil-immersed, water-immersed, and dry types.

Before use, carefully read the instructions to avoid mistakes. If not used for a long time, the impeller must be rotated before use to prevent it from seizing up due to long-term inactivity and overheating. Prior to starting the pump, ensure that both the suction pipe and the pump are filled with liquid. Once the pump is running, the impeller rotates at high speed, with the liquid rotating along with the blades. Under the force of centrifugal force, the liquid is ejected away from the impeller. As it exits, the liquid slows down in the diffuser chamber of the pump housing and the pressure increases. The liquid then exits through the discharge pipe. At this point, a vacuum low-pressure zone without air or liquid forms at the center of the blades due to the liquid being thrown outward. Under the atmospheric pressure at the liquid surface, the liquid in the pool flows into the pump through the suction pipe. This process continues, with liquid being continuously drawn from the pool and discharged through the discharge pipe.

Stator

Internally, the stator is a crucial component, as it is stationary and hence termed the stator. It consists of the housing, stator core, and stator winding. Three-phase AC power is transmitted through cables to the stator winding, where a rotating magnetic field is generated within the stator core. The housing is typically made by casting, welding after sheet steel rolling, or directly from seamless steel tubes. Reinforcing ribs are often added to the housing. The housing's stop face must be concentric with the core's inner circle. The stator core serves as the magnetizing body for the motor.

Rotor

The motor in explosion-proof water pumps is crucial for operation. The interaction between the current in the rotor and the rotating magnetic field of the stator generates electromagnetic torque, causing the motor to rotate. The rotor is composed of components such as the rotor core, balancing washer, and shaft. The rotor core, which serves as the magnetic guide for the motor, is made by stacking silicon steel sheets after stamping and is mounted on the shaft. The core is fixed in the axial and circumferential directions with keys on the shaft to prevent relative movement.

Air Gap

The stator and rotor have a smaller but uniform air gap in the radial direction. The air gap significantly affects the motor's performance. Using a smaller air gap can enhance the current to improve the power factor. However, considering the manufacturing process, the air gap is generally 0.6mm, depending on the power, with high-power explosion-proof water pumps reaching up to 1.8mm, subject to specific conditions.

Bearings

The bearings of explosion-proof water pumps bear the weight of the rotor, as well as additional radial and axial forces during pump operation. Once the bearings are damaged, the sealing and impeller ring of the submersible pump will quickly fail. Due to the power involved, there is a significant difference in design philosophy for bearings, but the principle is all to bear radial and axial forces through roller bearings.
