347 Stainless Steel: 18% Chromium, 11% Nickel. Heat Treatment of 347 Stainless Steel: Solution treatment (℃) 980-1150, Quenching. 347 Stainless Steel is a grade of stainless steel produced according to the American ASTM standard.
347 stainless steel is equivalent to China's 0Cr18Ni11Nb stainless steel. The addition of Nb in 347 stainless steel enhances its intergranular corrosion resistance, resulting in increased strength without a decrease in ductility. It allows for reduced material thickness, making it suitable for structural strength components.
347 stainless steel, after solution heat treatment, has mechanical properties (GB/T4237-92) as follows: Yield strength ≥205 MPa, Tensile strength ≥520 MPa, Elongation ≥35%, Hardness test: HBS≤187, HRB≤90, HV≤200. Chemical composition of 347 stainless steel: C≤0.08, Si≤1.00, Mn≤2.00, P≤0.035, S≤0.030, Ni=9~13, Cr=17.00~19.00, Nb≥5. C%. 347 is a highly stable stainless steel. It maintains excellent intergranular corrosion resistance at temperatures ranging from 427-816°C, under conditions of chromium carbide precipitation. Due to the addition of titanium, the 347 alloy remains stable even when chromium carbide forms.

347 stainless steel boasts superior mechanical properties, making it highly advantageous for use in high-temperature environments. Compared to 304, 347 offers improved ductility and stress-rupture resistance.
