TC4 Titanium Alloy Bar Technical Requirements:
Titanium and titanium alloy bars must comply with the chemical composition requirements of GB/T 3620.1. When subjected to repeated testing, the allowable deviation of the chemical composition should meet the standards set forth in GB/T 3620.2.
2. The diameter or side length of the hot-processed bar material, as well as the permissible deviation, should comply with the specifications.
3. After hot processing and turning (grinding) rods, as well as cold rolling and cold drawing rods, the diameter tolerance should comply with industry standards.
4. The out-of-roundness of the bar stock after heat treatment and turning (grinding) should not exceed half of its dimensional tolerance.
Chemical Composition of TC4 Titanium Alloy:
TC4 titanium (Ti) content: ≤0.30% iron (Fe), ≤0.10% carbon (C), ≤0.05% nitrogen (N), ≤0.015% hydrogen (H), ≤0.20% oxygen (O), aluminum (Al) 5.5-6.8%, vanadium (V) 3.5-4.5%.
Titanium alloy mechanical properties:
Tensile strength σb/MPa ≥ 895, Yield stress σr0.2/MPa ≥ 825, Elongation δ5 (%) ≥ 10, Reduction of area ψ (%) ≥ 25
TC4 Coefficient of Thermal Expansion:
TC4 titanium alloy boasts excellent corrosion resistance, low density, high specific strength, and good toughness and weldability, making it successfully applied in military aerospace, petrochemical, shipbuilding, and automotive industries, among others.
