1.4529 boasts exceptional resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in halide media and sulfuric hydrogen acidic environments, effectively combating chloride stress corrosion. It also exhibits good corrosion resistance in both oxidizing and reducing media, with excellent stability and slightly superior mechanical properties to 904L. Suitable for pressure vessel manufacturing from -196 to 400°C.
1.4529 is a desulfurizing and denitrifying alloyed six-molybdenum steel.
