P91 steel is equivalent to GB standard 10Cr9Mo1VNbN, offering not only excellent oxidation resistance and resistance to high-temperature steam corrosion but also good impact toughness and high, stable ductility and thermal strength. At temperatures below 620°C, its allowable stress exceeds that of austenitic stainless steel. Above 550°C, the recommended allowable stress is approximately twice that of T9 and 2.25Cr-1Mo steel.
